Antique pair of heybe (saddle bags) from the Bergama region of Western Anatolia (Turkey). This complete pair of saddle bags are in near perfect condition, the piled faces have a large star design. An outstanding feature is the stripped flat woven backs decorated with bands of weft work. The bags have excellent colour including a pleasing soft yellow.
